1. Main Game

Every warrior that is minted in The Coward's Gambit will be by default entered into the main game of the experience. The main game will be played over six deadly rounds, the main objective is to kill warriors round by round until there is only one warrior left to be offered a grand prize of 3 ETH. For every warrior that died their NFT will not be burnt from the blockchain, instead, they will be memorialised as a classical roman statue. Rounds: Once each round is initiated a randomised code (powered by chainlink VRF) will go through and select a percentage of warriors to "die". Once they are selected the metadata of the NFT itself will change. The picture will turn from an alive state into a statue "death state". Each round has increasing death percentages and different statue death states which will help define rarity. Round 1: 20% Death rate and all warriors will turn into an Iron statue Round 2: 25% Death rate and all warriors will turn into a Marble statue Round 3: 33% Death rate and all warriors will turn into Rusted Copper or Copper statues Round 4: 50% Death rate and all warriors will turn into Blue Marble or Red Marble statues Round 5: 75% Death rate and all warriors will turn into Onyx or Portoro statues Round 6: 98% Death rate, 1 warrior stays Alive and the rest turn into a Gold statue The winner of the final round will be offered 3 ETH on their NFT and can choose whether or not to keep the winning NFT or sell it. *If the cowards win their gambit the main pot winner will only receive 1 ETH.
